You loved Courtney Act at Pride in Hull 2017. A lot. So we knew we’d have to scout the drag stratosphere to find a star that matched up to her eleganza. Prepare for an announcement to leave you gagging.

Following a massive exclusive announcement live on Viking FM, we’re incredibly excited to announce that megastar Adore Delano will be sashaying to Pride in Hull 2018 on Saturday 21 July. Party!

Andy Hastings, Trustee at Pride in Hull, said: “Our audience love RuPaul’s Drag Race and there’s been one performer in particular that they’ve been desperate for us to bring to Hull for years. As the social media manager for Pride I know this more than acutely than anyone because I keep getting the words ADORE DELANO tweeted at me at 2am, followed by a lot of exclamation marks. I can’t begin to imagine the response now the news is out but I can’t wait to see it. I’m expecting a LOT more exclamation marks”.

If you need bringing up to speed… Adore Delano was a finalist on the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race and also competed in the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. Away from the show, Adore’s debut album ‘Till Death Do Us Party’ was a hit on the US Billboard chart – making her the first drag queen to impact that chart since RuPaul herself – and her most recent album ‘Whatever’ was released to critical acclaim in 2017.

By popular demand, we’re also hosting an exclusive meet and greet with Adore at a secret location in Hull before the main event. All proceeds go towards making Pride in Hull happen.

Adore Delano joins an already star-studded lineup of performers, which includes Bright Light Bright Light and Eurovision star SuRie, with more acts still to be unveiled and some special secrets to be kept under wraps until the big day.

Update: meet and greet tickets sold out in under an hour! Mark yourself as ‘going’ on the Pride in Hull 2018 event page for more opportunities to grab tickets.
