The Pride in Hull pop up was officially opened by Lord Mayor Steve Wilson on Humber Street today.

The two week pop up is part of Pride in Hull’s promise to be bigger, brighter, bolder and prouder.

Matt Walton, chair of Pride in Hull said “We know that our audience want more and more Pride so we’re always looking for ways to extend beyond the big day. The Pride in Hull pop up officially kicks off two weeks of fun, which will include special film screenings, our drag pre-Pride party and of course Pride in Hull itself!”

The Pride pop up will be open on 23 Humber Street every day in the run-up to Pride in Hull and feature special events, plus an opportunity to stock up on Pride essentials like flags, t-shirts, wristbands and a lot of glitter.

Lord Mayor Steve Wilson said “I hope this shop raises funds and I’d like to thank the organisers who work tirelessly to make Pride in Hull happen. It gives me great pleasure to open the Pride in Hull pop up”.

The launch of the Pride in Hull pop up marks the two week countdown to Pride 2019. A fortnight of activity that will take in workshops, screenings and of course the Pride parade and festival in Queens Gardens.
