Pride in Hull today launches its range of sponsorship opportunities for 2019’s event.
Kicking off Hull’s summer of festivals, Pride in Hull 2018 was the second largest event in the city and the biggest free to enter Pride event in the country. It attracted over 50,000 attendees into the main festival, plus thousands more who lined the streets to enjoy the parade.
Partnership opportunities give you the chance to get in front of that audience and include naming rights and branding across print and digital collateral, including stage branding, social media and inclusion in the official Pride Guide, 10,000 of which are distributed to local businesses in advance of the event and given to attendees.
Matthew Walton, Chair said “Pride in Hull provides the ideal platform for businesses to maximise brand exposure at an event that is not just one of the biggest in the city, but a major national player. We’re proud to have capitalised on the success of Hull UK City of Culture 2017 and our diverse audience continues to grow.”
“Our event helps build communities and celebrates belonging. It’s the most fun day of the year, but it’s hugely important and has a significant impact on the city. By getting involved, you’re helping drive real social change.”
Pride in Hull 2019 takes place on Saturday 20 July, kicking off with our biggest ever parade through the city, featuring specially commissioned performances marking the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and the history of LGBT protest. Then, we’ll throw open the gates to Queens Gardens for a rainbow-strewn festival, which will see performances from huge international acts as well as homegrown talent. Beyond the big day itself, we’re working with partners to deliver a film festival and a special exhibition that will feature an iconic piece of LGBT+ history displayed in the city.
“We’ve seen Pride in Hull grow year on year and we’re excited to deliver another spectacular event. In 2019, we’re extending our street food offering even further and we’ve already got some huge performers that we can’t wait to announce. Our partners play a vital part in helping us deliver the important, quality event that Hull deserves.”
