LGBT50 was a festival to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality. The week-long programme of events began with Pride in Hull and incorporated spoken word events, creative writing workshops, a powerful photography exhibition, film screenings, a huge tea party in Hull’s Queen Victoria Square and a headline gig hosted by Radio 1’s Scott Mills and Scissor Sisters’ Ana Matronic that was screened on the BBC.
For this project I secured wide coverage in local and national media, including targeted LGBT media. This included events listings, features and news coverage across print, broadcast and online.
