Humber Street Sesh are proud to announce that Pride in Hull will curate the Silent Disco on the opening Friday night of the festival weekend.
Humber Street Sesh and Pride in Hull, legendary events in the city’s cultural calendar, will collaborate to create a non-stop dancing sensation in the Silent Disco on Friday evening, which will take place on the new west-side site, in the festival arena, beyond Humber Quays.
Mark Page, Festival Artistic Director said “We are really excited to work with the Pride in Hull team this year. Pride in Hull matches our ambition to bring people together and we are proud to have them involved with Humber Street Sesh this year to celebrate the LGBT community. Pride in Hull certainly know how to have a great party and we know they will create a magical experience in the Silent Disco. “
The line-up for the Silent Disco will include Pride in Hull’s very own Andy Train and Andy Hastings take to the decks in a ‘battle of the Andys’, Viking FM’s breakfast presenters Alex and Ellie will be competing to see whether boybands or girlbands will reign supreme, plus there’ll be appearances from some of the area’s most glamourous drag DJs spinning everything from dance anthems to fist-pumping power ballads.

We firmly believe that the major events in the city can build on the incredible success of 2017 through even more collaboration and by working together to raise awareness of everything this vibrant city has to offer. In the Silent Disco we’re planning on turning the glitter up to the max with lots of huge sing-along choruses and a bit of Pride sparkle!”
The Silent Disco will be part of a special Friday evening featuring past festival headliners and special guests.

Humber Street Sesh will take place over an expanded site on the evening of Friday 3 August, 7-11pm and all-day Saturday 4 August 4. Wristbands can be purchased at various outlets around the region.
