It’s bigger, brighter, bolder, and prouder – and it’s coming soon to a G&T near you!
Pride in Hull has joined forces with award-winning Hull Gin School and Distillery Hotham’s to create a limited edition Pride gin that not only tastes fabulous, but also raises funds to help support the annual event.
The special recipe is packed full of citrusy zing and with only 50 bottles distilled, you’ll need to be quick to get yours!
The Hotham’s Gin School and Distillery was founded in Hull in 2017 and has quickly become a renowned part of the Hull food and drink scene, even winning the Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Award for Remarkable Food Experience in 2019.
Simon Pownall, gin creator and co-owner at Hotham’s, said: “We love making gin. And we love making amazing things happen in our city of Hull. So the opportunity to combine the two was simply too good to miss.
“Our brand is founded on the idea of standing up for what you believe in – Sir John Hotham, the man who inspired our name, was part of the famous rebellion that turned Charles I away from the gates of Hull thus starting the civil war. With that ethos, it’s really easy for us to support the fantastic Pride in Hull event and try out an exciting new flavour combination as well.”
Matt Walton, chair of Pride in Hull, said: “We’re so excited to be able to pair up with this award-winning local distillery to share something a bit different while also raising money to keep our fabulous Pride in Hull free.
“It may not quite be the colour of the rainbow but the Pride in Hull Gin is bringing that zesty summery taste to get everyone in the mood for all the excitement of July 20.”
You can get your hands on the very exclusive, very fabulous Pride in Hull Gin by visiting the Hotham’s shop in Hepworth’s Arcade, placing an order at the Pride pop-up shop in Humber Street between July 6 and July 20, or ordering online here.
This bespoke, limited edition gin is £50 per bottle, with a fantastic £10 from each sale going directly to support Pride in Hull.
